Methodology & Sources

All calculators on this site are powered by lunar-typescript, an open-source library that implements traditional Chinese calendar algorithms; nothing here is generated by a language model at build time.

All calendar conversions, Four Pillars (BaZi), and daily almanac data on this site are computed with lunar-typescript, an open-source library that implements the same traditional Chinese calendar algorithms used by Ask The Stalks' main site.

Solar terms follow astronomical calculation; daily do's and don'ts (宜忌) follow the Xieji Bianfangshu (协纪辨方书) tradition as encoded in that library. Nothing on this page is computed by, or written by, a language model at build time — all copy is authored and reviewed ahead of time.
